About Orlean invest host community scholarship scheme
The gift of education is one of the greatest investments that can be made in the
future of our communities; one that helps our students and teeming youths
realize their dreams and aspirations. The Host Community scholarship scheme was
established by Orlean Invest Africa Limited in line with its mission to create a
harmonious environment in which the host communities and the company become
fundamentally independent; where understanding is mutual; with a commitment to
growth and development.
The Orlean Invest scholarship scheme is a spot scholarship scheme which annually
provides academic grants to students from its host communities. Students are
required to apply on an annual basis, and most suitable and qualified students
are given the opportunity to benefit from the programme. The scholarship being
managed by the group’s Community Relations unit under the Government and Public
Affairs Department; has steadily increased the number of beneficiaries through
the years.
The scholarship scheme is one of the group’s cardinal programmes in educational
empowerment for youths from its host communities. The communities include: Onne,
Ogu, Rumuokwurusi, Amadi Ama, Ogbum-nu-Abali, Ikot-Ansa, Old Netim and the Warri
Port Host communities. We are looking for students in secondary and tertiary
institutions who are pursuing higher learning so that they can play a part in
making their societies and the world a better place.
While we seek to better our scholarship scheme, we have developed the online
registration portal to ensure credibility and transparency in the selection
process for this year’s programme. However, based on the memorandum of
understanding with some of the aforementioned communities, they are exempted
from the online application process. The exempted communities include, all Warri
Port Host communities, Old Netim, Ogbum-nu-Abali, Amadi Ama.
All applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and follow the under listed
